General License Information for Selected Maryland Counties
ALL MARYLAND COUNTIES
- Blood Test: None
- Legal Age: 18 years old. Under 18 requires parental consent.
- Waiting Period: There is a two day waiting period to receive your license.
- Valid: The marriage license remains valid for six monoths.
- Residency: Residency is not required for the bride or groom.
- Valid Out-of-County: No, couple must marry within the county they register.
- Applicant: Either bride or groom may apply for the license.
- Previous Marriage: If previously married you will need a certificate of divorce or death.
